SYMPTOMS

Users unable to schedule projects to run automatically. Running through the project wizard and seting it to run automatically "daily" or at any time. When the time comes, nothing happens. Reading the windows task scheduler log shows an access denied error "0x80070005: Access is denied".

CAUSE

This happens to the Task Scheduler service on a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer after you install security update 841873, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following:

0x80070005: Access is denied
